[Movie Review] Underworld: Blood Wars

The next installment in the blockbuster franchise, UNDERWORLD: BLOOD WARS follows Vampire death dealer, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) as she fends off brutal attacks from both the Lycan clan and the Vampire faction that betrayed her. With her only allies, David (Theo James) and his father Thomas (Charles Dance), she must stop the eternal war between Lycans and Vampires, even if it means she has to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Watched UNDERWORLD: BLOOD WARS with church pals yesterday night at GV Plaza.

Previously, I watched UNDERWORLD: AWAKENING as well. In comparison, I prefer the previous installment better as a whole.

Personally, I thought that this film was simple and had a rather good story flow. At certain scenes, it appear to me that I am watching a theatrical play instead of a movie. Nevertheless, there are certain good intense moment which kept me at the edge of my seat. As usual, Kate Beckinsale (as Selene) did well in her craft!

Honestly, the plot was predictable and could have been further developed. By watching the finale, I guess there will be another upcoming sequel.
